Pico Collection
We are proud to be able to offer a collection of high-quality knotted rugs using exclusive designs, materials and handcraft. Production itself is performed using the Tibetan knot. Only top quality yarns are used, including wool from New Zealand and choice fax, all in different thicknesses.
Skilled drawers transfer the designer's sketch to a detailed working pattern.
The knotting is then done on a vertical loom. The Tibetan knot is made by the yarn being tied round the warp threads and also round a temporary rod.
When the row of knots is completed and has been tightened, the rod can either be pulled out, creating loops, or be cut out, creating a pile.
All our hand knotted rugs are washed after knotting. They are kept out during drying, in order to regain their rectangular shape. The surface is not cut until the rug has been washed.
